THE FOLLOWING PAGES CONTAIN DESCRIPTIONS, SCHEMATICS AND TEST PROCEDURES FOR THE FOUR GAME CONTROLLERS USED WITH THE ATARI VIDEO COMPUTER SYSTEM (2600).
There's four different types of controllers that were produced for the Video Computer System (VCS) (2600). Some of the controllers such as the joystick and paddle controllers were also shipped with the 8-bit computers.
The information contained in the below pages are all excerpts from the 2600/2600A Domestic VCS Field Service Manual. I've recently become fascinated for some reason with OCR software and thought that this information may be interesting or of use to other vintage game enthusiasts.
You can click on the "printer friendly" button on the bottom of each of the pages to open the web page reformatted as printer friendly if you want to make a hard copy to use while you're fiddling with your controllers.
